Every one of the people in the structure of Culture CAP7 Fund plays a part essential to the success of audiovisual projects.

We have professionals with a proven track record in the film business. We have helped to finance and execute the top audiovisual projects in Spain and played a very important part in recent years in attracting major international productions to Spain.

We also work with third-party service providers of recognised prestige.

In addition to the partners of the management team involved in the fund, these would be some of the team members.

Del río,
Alfonso del Río

Specialised in the culture, entertainment and media sector. Recognised as one of the best lawyers in Spain; in 2017 he was awarded the Forty Under Forty prize as one of the best young lawyers, specialising in culture. In 2022 he was considered for Europe’s most prestigious legal accolade (Chamber & Europe) as a leading Spanish lawyer in financial and fiscal advice in the media sector.

He is also familiar with the sector from within as he works on stories and plots. He has published fiction through Planeta and is one of the most widely-read authors in Spain, as well as working on stories in the audiovisual sector.

The father of 5 children, he loves art and sport and takes part in triathlons.

In 2024, he decided to lead, together with BlackPearl, the investment fund that is the subject of this website.

Patricia Spa

A lawyer and economist who has been linked to the investment world since the beginning of her career. Her time in the Commercial department of the firm J&A Garrigues enabled her to gain a visa as a legal specialist in M&A in the United States, where she supervised the legal aspects of the OHL group’s expansion into America.

She made the leap to the audiovisual field as Head of Business at LIDO Investment, a joint venture formed by Altamar Advisory Partners, Atresmedia Cine and Morena Films to structure financial/fiscal investments in Spanish series and films. Later on she joined the Secuoya group for the launch of Secuoya Studios, where she worked as Director of Business Affairs.

Passionate about film, literature and music, she joined Culture CAP7 Fund as a partner after working on more than 50 audiovisual projects and teaching at The Core audiovisual school.

Rodríguez,
Miguel Rodríguez Ureña

Miguel began his career at the firm Garrigues in 2008, working in international transactions and operations. He then joined the financial and fiscal area of multinational group TSK, with a turnover of more than 1,000 million and projects in over 50 countries. There he played an on-the-spot role in numerous financial and business projects in different countries, so gaining international experience.
He subsequently joined Deloitte as a Director, focusing on the Media and Audiovisual sector. On a personal level he loves tennis, which he has played since an early age, competing in many national and international competitions.

His other passion is the audiovisual sector, where his knowledge comes from his own study of Film History, the subject of his degree.

In 2024, he joins Blackpearl, becoming part of the management team of Culture CAP7 Fund.

Gema Movilla

CFO Black Pearl SGEIC

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Business Administration and Management (E-3) from Universidad Pontificia Comillas
Gema has developed a distinguished career in the financial and executive fields. She is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Blackpearl Capital Management in Madrid, overseeing financial, tax, accounting, human resources, legal, and governance functions. Previously, she was CFO at Exfasua S.L., leading the financial department of this family-owned asset management company from 2016 to 2023. Her career began at Lehman Brothers in London, where she contributed to high-profile transactions such as Amadeus’ acquisition of Opodo and Eutelsat’s acquisition by Abertis. She later joined Morgan Stanley, advising on notable deals such as Reyal’s acquisition of Urbis and Chamartín Inmobiliaria’s purchase of shopping centers in Portugal.

Echart,
Pablo Echart

CAP7 Ecosystem and Fund Adviser.

  • Industrial Organisation Engineer (University of Navarre and Sheffield Hallam University)
  • Master’s degree for members of boards of directors at ESADE.
He is a partner in the vehicles and CEO of the management company Stellum Capital. He was part of the executive team at 3i Plc in London, before heading 3i in Spain. He has also been part of the investment team at Scale Capital in Chile and the USA. and has sat on more than 15 boards of directors.

He is familiar with the sector from within, as the producer of several prestige audiovisual projects in recent years.
